In the car on my way to work today I thought, "You know you live in the country when you see porcupines by the side of the road on the way to work, and chickens pecking by the side of the road on the way home." What an awesome commute! No traffic for this one, and all the wildlife I want.
A little while ago I stopped by the side of the road on the way home from work to watch a huge turtle that hadstopped for a siesta just over the white line. The only two cars that passed while I was watching both stopped to make sure I was ok. I do love living on Chestnut Hill!
