Claire - you may not want to read this one :)
The other night as I was taking out my contacts, it was causing much pain. It was taking a wicked long time to get the one in my right eye out, and I couldn't understand why it was so painful. Then I realized... I had already taken it out! My poor little eye had been enduring the full brunt of my finger trying in vain to find and remove my contact.
Yes - it is hard to be me!

Gross--I know the feeling. I meant to include on my last post that I had major contact problems during the flight and finally had to them out and wear my glasses. There was a tiny white spot on one and I think it was toothpaste (long story). Fun.
I quickly gathered from your very explicit warning the aproximate subject of your post...but I felt an irresistable urge to read it...Kind of like walking by a vomit soaked child and staring uncontrollably... It's horrible and disgusting and... you just HAVE to LOOK! AAAAARRGH! Shiver!( For those of you grossed out by the reference to the V.S. child, visit Liane's blog + Lindsay's comment...)
Wow, and I thought it was remarkable when I put both contacts in one eye and didn't realize it for nearly two hours. Of course, I was only thirteen at the time...

Ouch. I read your post too early in the morning to be thinking about things poking into my eye. Yuck.
